The best is the Nintendo Wavebird. You can get them on eBay now for right around $25-30 plus shipping.

To save battery life.

I got a Wavebird back in March and, no word of a lie, I haven't replaced the batteries in it yet.

To save battery life.

Well, that, and the fact that it was really the first good wireless controller ever made (and really the first 1st party wireless controller ever made).

That doesn't explain the lack of rumble when such a feature had already existed in their previous GCN controllers. It was a combination of saving battery life and also space concerns (the Wavebird is pretty packed as it is).

Well, rumble in wireless controllers was something that I don't recall ever really working right in controllers prior to the Wavebird, so that was the reason for my post.

Eh, no. The Wave Bird is better because;

1: Better battery life
2: Better controls
3: Better feel
4: Is made for the Gamecube, so it won't have anything extra, or anything akward the T-Wireless might have
5: It's the first good wireless first party controller, while the T- Wireless just doesn't have the quality and production value a quality Nintendo controller would have (which is why I would recommend the Classic Controller OVER the T- Wireless).

The Wavebird is pretty awesome. I got mines used for $20 and i dont regret it. After that, i never saw it in stores. Bad thing is, theres no rumble. But, it's a small sacrifice.

Yeah, I dig the Wavebird, though lately I've been using my white import, just because it looks nice and it's lighter. Maybe I should go back to the 'bird for the rest of the Brawl tourney. ;)
