Yep PAL is the most popular choice however that's to do with the Television signals (how many lines of info)

I'm on about PAL games in which the main big players being N.America, Japan, Australia and Europe/Uk. Out of those only Australia and Europe are PAL and we all know how the Gamecube did in these territories. Pretty poor, the console was dead and out of shops before the Revolution was announced!

I know many gamers in the UK who import because it's cheaper, games are out much sooner as with any console but as far as Gamecube goes there's a third reason (As well as any others the individual may have)
PAL Gamecube games cannot display 480p (EDTV) which is a pain for those of us with HDTV's/EDTV CRT's that want the best possible picture.
Also quite a few games run at the slower 50hz (Sonic mega collection anyone? It's crazy when you've played the USA version. UK one feels so slow!). All NTSC games are 60hz by standard.

But it's still a pretty decent collection none-the-less as I said before. (Wheres the wavebird box?!)

Oh yeah I have the following too:

gameboy player
donkey kong bongos
wireless gamecube wavebird
various memory cards include 64mb
resident evil 4 limited edition silver gamecube
resident evil 4 limited edition silver controller

I know you didn't say that they were games but the person making the video did.

PS - the person who has these collections is a woman.

Actually In Australia the GameCube did alright, everybody I know has one and that includes new people I meet each day.

Are you sure the person making the Video said it was a game Collection? doesn't matter I supose.:)
I diden't know the person who made this Video was a woman but I guess there are a lot of female gamers.

Yep she said in the side info "Games include" not a biggie but I wouldn't list them as games.

These days PAL/NTSC and importing makes bugger all difference, aside from the Wii which I thought would be best to import from USA (glad I did!) but xbox 360/ps3 don't have any real advantages outside a couple games being region locked on the xbox.

Australian Lifetime Console Sales
(to Third Quarter '06)

Doesn't seem to have sold too well to me. Trailing behind the other two consoles like everywhere else (Except Japan obv)[although above DC but that's not tough]

I do wish it would have sold better, was a lovely console IMO and those who didn't own one (or any of its games to play on Wii) are missing out!

The problem with GameCube is that it needed a DVD player at the time, more people are buying GameCube games off Ebay because Wii plays them.;)
