Starting this thread, hoping that we can download and play this handheld on Wii (or DS?!) at some point.
Beginning with the early Game Boy / Super Game Boy games
Adventures of Lolo
Alleyway
Balloon Kid
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Land
Donkey Kong Land 2
Donkey Kong Land 3
Dr. Mario
F1-Race
Game Boy Gallery
Golf
Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters
Killer Instinct
Kirby's Block Ball
Kirby's Dream Land
Kirby's Dream Land 2
Kirby's Pinball Land
Kirby's Star Stacker
Mario & Yoshi (Yoshi)
Metroid II: Return of Samus
Mystic Quest (Final Fantasy Adventure)
Qix
Soccer
Super Mario Land
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land
Wario Land 2
Wario Land 3
Tennis
Tetris
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Wave Race
And here's the Game Boy Color (as always, please add your suggestions)
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
Perfect Dark
Pokémon Puzzle Challenge
Super Mario Bros. DX
The Legend of Zelda DX: Link's Awakening
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
And here's place for the GBA - but this might be far fetched ;)
F-Zero Maximum Velocity
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Golden Sun
Golden Sun 2
Kuru Kuru Kururin
Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Metroid: Fusion
Metroid: Zero Mission
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Wario Land 4
WarioWare
If you have any suggestions I could add, just come up with it.
Because the Game Boy was technically more advanced than the NES but without color, they should cost 500 points.
Game Boy Color games could be 600-700 points and Game Boy Advance games 800-900 points.

Gameboy
Super Mario Land
Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
Donkey Kong Land 2
Gameboy Color
Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Mario Tennis
Super Mario Bros. DX
Pokemon: Puzzle Challenge
Thats my collection, I think Color games should be 600 wii points due to Turbografx.

Don't forget Metroid II: Return of Samus and Wario Land 2.
And...I've actually never played Kid Icarus: of Myths and Monsters. Here's hoping all these and more on VC.

The Game Boy was the first dedicated console that I bought myself, and so it's kind of nostalgic for me. Though I really wanted a Game Gear I could never have afforded one, I saved for a long time to buy that Game Boy, which came with Mario Land and Mario Land 2. I don't have a huge collection of Game Boy games beyond that because my funds were limited (being a child then) and it's not a console I've revisited much, but I particularly like Wario Land 1 and 2, and Tetris of course, and beyond that I didn't have many other good games.
I wouldn't buy it on VC, I've tried playing GB games on the Gamecube's Game Boy Player and on a big screen it's just not the same I'm afraid. Unless there's a chance to transfer them to the DS in which case count me in. If there is it would be nice to see an option that emulates the original Game Boy's yellow screen for the full authentic experience (I hate that added-colour).

Also, my belief is that they are holding that out on us until their nextgen handheld system arrives. With that we can download gameboy games.

There are all of those threads, but they are all just saying that they want Gameboy on VC, this is just Gameboy in general, so for once Spore, I've proved you wrong, HA!:p

I think i read somewhere that nintendo where planning a virtual console for DS accesible through the wii and gameboy games will be avaliable for it. But i havent got solid proof and im not even sure i did read it. I couldve dreamt it, read, thought it or seen someone suggesting it but im sure ive heard that somewhere. It would be cool though.
As for them on the big screen it probably wouldnt be my thing. To me portables should stick to being portables.
But yeah i love the game boy. Super Mario Land 1&2 and Wave Race were the first games i got. I loved them all despite the fact i couldnt get far in wave race. I also liked Toy Story on it :P Is it me or were most disney games great back in the retro days :D

I'm pretty sure this thread is mainly about having Gameboy on VC and the games that would be good on it, just like all those other threads, Pocketim.
Edit: Yeah, Disney games just worked on the SNES and the Gameboy. Mainly the SNES. Not so today...

And megadrive. Castle of Illusion and Quack Shot :D.
Also i just played Dig Dug & Kid Icarus on GB and they are pretty good. Dig dug i knew what it would be like and since i havent played Kid Icarus before it seemed really fun but hard. I think the NES version will be my next purchase on VC.

Like Pocketim said, it's just to have a thread dedicated to the Game Boy (well, it's the new Retro section, y'know), and for hoping in Game Boy games we can dowload to the Wii (or DS) some day.
Add your suggestions, and wouldn't it be nicer if you can say some words to the games you played. I added some new games, and would like to say some words to Kirby's Block Ball on the (Super Game Boy).
You all know Arkanoid (from Taito)? Well, hopefully it comes to the VC, sice it was one of the greatest Taito games (next to Space Invaders and Bubble Bobble). It was this classic arcade game. Basically you had to move at the bottom of the screen and hit the ball to destroy all blocks above.

Nintendo's first attempt on a "breakout" game was the strict clone Alleyway (GB), a pretty basic version with Mario characters.

Kirby's Block Ball was a very advanced game of this classic. Great level design, many power ups, excellent controls, enemies and bosses, battery save, Super Game Boy colors. If you like breakout games, this is one of the prettiest clones ever.

You can also play original Game Boy games on the Game Boy Player for Gamecube, but in my opinion they look awful on a big screen.
