Does it still work after downloading WiiWare? I guess there's a new firmware update, right?

Would be nice to hear it from both European and US gamers.

It still works. and SSBB runs without hitches.

The update to Wiiware happened in March, so it could not be affected.

I knew there already was a WiiWare update some time ago, but I thought there might be another one now that the whole service really started.

Great to hear that, Because there are a lot of import Wii games (and Gamecube games too) that I want to get!

Well im playing it safe & not geting a Freeloader just in case an update turns it into an expensivewaster .

If all else fails, you can still use the Wii Freeloader on a GameCube (It'll work there better for Cube Games than on a Wii).

The idea of buying or even using or worrying about if the freeloader is still working is kind of pointless anymore if you have been keeping up with the homebrew scene using the twilight hack there is a hombrew program that lets you run import games on any region Wii . If you want to find out more on the subject check out QJ net they have the program for free download.

Yea that sounds safer for ppl worrying about the freeloader ;)

Well i wouldn't be suprise if that hack is also used for Piracy for which im against because of all the money that gets lost due to piracy .

It does not really work, SSBB US on PAL-Console does not work, I tried.

The Homebrewchannel does not let you pirate Wii or GC games, you still need the original discs as an Unmodded Wii (Hardware wise) does not read any other Discs than Wii and GameCube optical discs.

Personally i wouldn't bother .
Nintendo blocked tha Gamecube version in the past so when i first saw the Wii version i realised Nintendo could as easily block it so i didn't bother wasting money on it .
Any new version released will shortly be blocked afterwards turning them into expensive frisbies .

The New Homebrew Version works with SSBB, so if you still want to play your US-Version.

Else go and buy the now released PAL-Version of SSBB and make NoE happy.

As a mod, Would you be able to put up a tutorial for us VC-Forum members to follow so that we could take instructions on how to get a region-free solution from a source we can trust? Or at least point us in the right directions?

I would try the Twilight hack or other methods, but I'm weary of the consequences or that people would just put out bogus intructions as a prank.

Just asking about this. Also, are we able to discuss 'The Twilight mod' and other thinks of that manor or are those topics off limits? I wouldn't want to accidentally mention anything taboo.
