What's the hold up Ninty?

Where's Pikmin DS?

Paper Mario DS?

2D Metroid DS?

Smash Bros. DS?

Geist's Ninty isn't it?

Etc...

There's still tons, so how come nothing is ever coming out anymore?

Pikmin would be good for DS, but it seems more of a Wii game to me!
For all we know Nintendo could be well into making Pikmin 3 now

You make it sound like Nintendo isn't publishing games anymore, at all. Sure, I wouldn't mind seeing a familiar franchise appear on the DS, but it's just as well that Nintendo's also going for some more original concepts.

Yep, I couldn't be bothered in listing them all. Was on the Wii, that's why I lazied out and said "etc..."

Like what?

I've only bought 1 DS game this year and it's not looking to likely that i'm buying another one soon either.

And that may not sound as bad, but i've had over 50 DS games! So to go from 40 to 1, is pretty bad.

Yes, but you hate games, particularly Nintendo ones. And as far as I'm concerned, the key to success isn't to do cookie-cutter ports of every popular franchise ever. You are strange in that you would actually prefer rehashes of once-great games rather than new concepts; there are a bunch of totally great games coming soon, both brand new IPs and sequels: FFXII: Revenant Wings, Heroes of Mana, It's a Wonderful World, EBA, Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, Contra 4, Geometry Wars: Galaxies, Front Mission, Zelda: PH, Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol, Luminous Arc, Ontama, Touch Detective, Sonic Rush Adventure, Kururin: Doughnuts, Insect Wars, Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupee Land, Bleach: The Blade of Fate, Archaic Sealed Heat...

I could go on, but I know you'll find some reason to dislike every single game on that list. The truth is though, that 99% of people will have loads of fun with each and every one of those titles, and that's what matters.

Oh: Ecoris, Monster Rancher DS, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates...

Paper Mario DS?

Isn't Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time pretty much along the same lines of a paper mario game. It's a mario rpg but not in paper form. Do they have to be paper to fit in the mario rpg series. To reinforce my point wasn't the original paper mario intended to be the sequel to Super Mario RPG for the SNES?

Oh and we are also about to get Zelda what more could we want?

Don't hate games, don't hate Nintendo games. You just think I do because I don't accept that crap on the NGC as good games. They suck. They're awful. They should be burned.

Give me a NES, SNES and N64 and all the first party Ninty titles and i'll play for hours and hours and hours and hours and etc... etc... etc...

Saying that I don't like new franchises is one of the stupidest things i've ever heard (No offence).

If I didn't like new franchises then I wouldn't have played any game ever.

What I don't like is when a successful franchies completely reinvents itself to try and get more sales.

A franchise is a franchise for a reason. Because the games they've been making for years, are good!

Would you like it if all of a sudden Zelda turned into an FPS game EXACTLY like Halo? With no point other than to kill things. Just because Halo is uber popular.

Severely doubt it.

And as for that list....

FFXII: Revenant Wings, Heroes of Mana, It's a Wonderful World, EBA (Unless that's Elite Beat, then Blue it), Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations, Contra 4, Geometry Wars: Galaxies, Front Mission, Zelda: PH, Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol, Luminous Arc, Ontama, Touch Detective, Sonic Rush Adventure, Kururin: Doughnuts, Insect Wars, Freshly Picked: Tingle's Rosy Rupee Land, Bleach: The Blade of Fate, Archaic Sealed Heat...

Blue means I dislike the franchise.

Red means i'm interested.

Indigo means that i've never heard of it.

And Brown means i'm really not interested.

I'm happy with Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Tingle's Rupyland and Chibi-Robo Park Patrol..

My only wish is Mother 1+2+3 :D

Well, at least DEMON likes Phoenix Wright. If he disliked that then I would've given up.

I liked it but on the 4th case I got a bit sick of it and got rid of it.

That was still back in the days of the 10 day refunds, and I was on the 10th day. So I basically thought "Well, i've only got one and a half cases left and i'll never replay it" so I took it back.

Pikmin would be AWESOME for DS, but any Smash Bros. game for any system would be even more awesome.

Oddly, what I really want for the DS is Wave Race.

As for SSB: DS, I can see it happening. I think I'll start a thread on it...

A Super Smash Bros on the DS would most likely be concentrated lose. Simply put, a series like Super Smash Bros built upon soley content upgrades for sequals wouldn't quite cut it after Brawl comes out.

Jonno
29th August 2007, 12:59 AM
Ah, but the difference is... it'll be on a handheld. As in Smash Bros. on the go! Who wouldn't want that?

Why would you want to play a party centric game on the go?

Unlike some people, I'm fine with single-player. Also, ever hear of Wi-Fi?

Plus, look at Mario Party. It even has the word 'party' in it and its being ported to the DS!
Case. Closed.
