Finally I have received a replacement power cable, audio/video cable and having dug out my SNES a few weeks back, I have managed to hook it up to my projection system. It joins the big screen ranks along with my Wii.

Drool at the retro goodness.... video clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzvuQXEpF5A)! :D

You show off! I like how you filmed it by panning around the equipment as if it was a top hack you were performing!

Oh Super Mario Kart... when will you be coming to Virtual Console?

That's a neat set-up.

Coolness. Never played this much on the SNES. It always bothered me that you couldn't get full-screen mode on 1 player. I forget, what do the coins do?

Seeing this again makes me wonder if Nintendo had the idea for dual screen gaming way back then.

I also noticed your Wii sensor bar on the wall. How did you mount it?

I forget, what do the coins do?

They increase your maximum speed. Once you reach 10 coins, you can accelerate to the full capability of your kart. Anything over 10 coins has no further effect. If you mean the coin item I picked up, that just gives you 3 free coins when used.

I also noticed your Wii sensor bar on the wall. How did you mount it?

Sellotape

It wouldn't be a surprise to hear that SMK influenced the DS in some way; it is a very similar kind of layout.

I absolutely adore this game, and I really really want it to come to VC.
