I went for Mega Drive, but it's a tough choice between that and SNES.

The SNES. I has so many quality games on it already, and the console makes up the majority of my downloads.

I wish i voted for the pc engine since the SNES is getting all of the votes

Turbografx, largely because of Hudson's dedication to pumping out great titles for it.

Also the games are cheaper on the pc engine dispite being the same quality as the snes and mega drive.

NES, fo' sho! Honestly, 8-bit graphics, truly classic games, simple Wiimote playability, and only 5 bucks a game? Not to mention a lot of Nintendo's greatest franchises are sprouted from the NES, and it's awesome to play the original entries of our favorite contemporary series'.

It might be argued that the overwhelmingly vast majority of great NES titles haven't seen the light of day yet. Soon, though.

That's true, iNma, which makes my anticipation for the future releases even larger. With the good amount of gems already available, it makes me feel comfortable knowing there's going to be a lot more classic NES games in the coming years.

NES then Genesis, SNES, Turbo-Grafx 16 and N64. Neo Geo games aren't available yet.

SNES was the best system ever in my opinion (time considered).

Also the games are cheaper on the pc engine dispite being the same quality as the snes and mega drive. They are nowhere near as good in quality...
SNES/MD>Turbografx
Well worth an extra 200 points to one from the 2 superiors.

Do you mean the Graphics or gameplay are not as good.

here is the game with another character.

the game is in a more anime style than most castlevanias like the DS games

there are apparently better looking games but i have yet to find any better footage

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6F8BK69x6o

and here’s the Mega drives/Genesis castlevania bloodlines which as released after the above game.

I know its a different style but i think the pc engine version looks and sounds better.

No one likes N64? N64 is in full blown 3D. :?Yeah, but there's only 4 games available. The SNES keeps delivering high quality games persistantly, where as the N64 does occasionaly.

I voted for the SNES because it's the console I grew up with. Also, I'm having a blast with DKC2.

The NES was before my time, and even though the N64 was God-like in its time, I was older by then - all my best childhood gaming memories revolve around the SNES. :P

And it's games have aged the worse because of it's 3D-ness.
And how do you like that fogging? Can't wait til Turok arrives on the VC. :D
Do I buy it out of nostalgia and irony, or leave it well alone?

Well, as far as the VC is concerned my fave console would be the SNES. I love the N64 personally but their is little choice on the VC at the moment and unless Nintendo address the memory storage problem it looks set to stay that way.

I'm having the most fun playing old NES titles that I have not played in a very long time. So because of that, the large selection of games, and the price, the NES gets my vote. I had to consider the SNES because I never owned one. I had the Genesis instead, so being able to play games that I never had a chance to originally is cool. I also had to consider the Neo-Geo. I dropped so many quarters in the Neo-Geo machines that I am really looking forward to downloading some of those titles but because of size and price I'll stick with NES. There are so many more sweet NES titles to be released.
