I went into the Cash Generator there and saw they had Gunstar Super Heroes and the original Warioware (American copy's) unboxed for a fiver each.
At home I noticed the carts are slightly different; a much darker shade of black, different styled writing and far worse quality. I can feel them sort of creaking when I put them in the DS. There's also no writing on the chip where it normally says "2001 Nintendo"
This wouldn't have bothered me, but now I've noticed the games don't save either. =/
This is pretty dissapointing, as I've wanted both games for a while, not to mention the inconveniance of having to go back to the shop, busfair etc..
They seriously better recognise the problem and refund them for me, I'll be pretty mad if they don't.
Anyone else had similar problems?

got a fake copy of havest moon GBA on ebay. the box was discolored and in Chinese and the label looked like a bad couler photo copy. i was so upset when i realized that i said 'oh deary me how terrible'.
it worked but that was not the point. it was not listed as a knock off. i havent brought games on ebay since.
still i gave the seller a bad rating. that will show him.

Wow, that sucks. There's not that much you can do about it on Ebay is there?
I'm taking these back, if they don't give me my money back then there's only 1 option left.
http://www.oft.gov.uk/ :p
I'm currently whizzing through the games before I take them back though. That'll compensate for the inconveniance :D

go for it mendez.
only way they might argue it, is that there 'sold as seen'.
but if you kept the recite you should threaten to let the local paper know there dealing in hokey goods.

My girl got 2 fake GBA games from Lanzarote.
Mario vs DK and Yoshi's Universal Gravitation. 20 Euro each. What a rip off.
Mario vs DK can't save.
And Yoshi's Universal Gravitation is unplayable because there is no motion-sensor in it! It's like playing Wii without the Wiimote.
And Mendez: Just take them back like with every other game.
I wouldn't even mention that they're are fake BEFORE you got your money back.

I got a fake Game Boy colour "38 in 1 hits of 2000" game in Spain 7 years ago.
I didnt no it was fake as I was only about 11 at the time and my parents new sod all about Game Boys but surprisingly it worked and saved
Although it isnt actually 38 in 1 its 19 games but they all have 2 different names (1 real 1 fake) and there displayed as 38 different games
I was made up at the time though because I got pokemon red, blue and yellow, final fantasy 3 and a load of other games for the price of 1 and ended up spending my whole holiday playing it.
Its still working and saving now.

That's a pain, but to be honest, the game's not worth bothering with anyway. It's too clunky and awkward to be any fun :( It's a shame, it was a nice concept, just a very poor execution.

They wouldn't offer me cash ¬_¬
I could have tried to take it further, but to be honest I just couldn't be bothered.
I got a PAL Warioware (and made sure it was real) and Ecks vs Sever II: Ballistic boxed. I saw good reviews for it at the time, but it's crud. :p
I'll just trade it, worst I'll get is a couple of quid loss.

i also got the short straw on this one, I just realized the copy of Metroid Zero Mission ive had for 2 months is a pirated copy as well. I had an idea when the box felt veeerrry different when compared to my other GBA boxes, plus the manual wasn't a manual at all, it was a little 6 page booklet of other games with Samus hahahah. I'm trying to get it replaced over Amazon.ca's marketplace.

If it's from China it's pirated. And most likely covered in lead.

Yeah, Gunstar was from China, it had this Chinese sticker on the back.
And what was that about lead? 0_o

If the label doesn't have the Nintendo seal of quality on it, and the back doesn't say "pat. pending" somewhere on it then its pirated:(

I've noticed that ebay sellers these days never leave feedback until you've left them feedback (it used to be the other way round). That way if you say something bad (deserved or not), they can hit you with negative feedback, which is not worth it. So it's becoming very hard these days to tell good sellers from bad ones.
What I do when buying on ebay is look through all the hundreds of feedbacks a seller has got and find the one or two buyers brave enough to write a complaint. If one or two people are complaining about being sold fakes and the seller is selling lots of the same games then the chances are they could all be fakes so unless that's the only option I just try a different seller. I don't like to do that since it could be that the one or two complaints are misleading, but I can't risk it, it's a shame there isn't a better way.
If you buy a fake in a shop they can't claim it's 'sold as seen', it's illegal to sell the item in the first place.
