When it came out I really wasn't sure whether to get it or not, then I found out it was £27.77 in Asda and my Dad was going there the morning after, so I told him to get it.

I'm glad I did, it's a brilliant game and well worth the money I paid for it :D

Shame the multi-players naff though...

I personally think it's the most advanced NES game ever. Really wasn't a fan. Then again, out of the 16 games we've had i've liked 2 and can play a third. I think there'd be another one that i'd play, but my bro couldn't stand it and he'd bought it. Godfather.

I'm a huge Excitebike fan, but I just couldn't get into ExciteTruck. If I didn't sell it before the steering wheel came out I'd probably give it another shot. Ah, its too late now!

BTW, once you complete the game with all S's on Excite, you'll unlock Super Excite which features another set of races, and twice as many trucks as Excite. 'Twas a very nice surprise and makes the work it took to get the S's well worth it 8)

I should slap myself for not buying this game earlier. I've been eyeing it on the shelves for some time - especially since I've wanted a racer for my Wii for some time now - but I held off on a purchase until only a few days ago.

Now that I've played it for a good bit I can't see why it got only so-so reviews. I find it to be a really enjoyable arcade racer. No, it hasn't got much depth (one of the aforementioned complaints in said reviews), but that's the way arcade racers are supposed to be, in the first place: simple and fun.

Metroid Prime 3 and Resident Evil 4 are both better than Excite Truck IMO.

RE4 and MP3C... Well, they're very good action-adventures. And Super Paper Mario, too.

That's not exactly the same thing. While I've always liked the Mario Kart series, the power-ups just get on my nerves at times. That's when I want a real arcade racer. And Excite Truck is the best the Wii has to offer so far, in that respect. I've had my eye on the upcoming Nitrobike, too, though.

I also have an eye on Nitrobike. If it gets decent reviews I'll pick it up, the online multiplayer is the main reason im interested though.
