Well here is a bit of a surprise for Japanese Wii owners. The Everyone’s Nintendo (http://gonintendo.com/?p=30326#) Channel has gone live! This is the channel that supplies Wii owners with trailers for games (http://gonintendo.com/?p=30326#), DS demos to download, and more! Man, I really hope we see this channel go live in the rest of the world within the next 24 hours!

It's just video's for Wii games which currently the channel is offering a whole slew of Wii Fit ones.

Playable demos are just impossible for the Wii. What most means with demos is like the Metroid Preview channel, which means streamed low-quality (still higher than YouTube) videos and a useless minigame in the background ;)

Still, it can show us some parts of the game that isn't shown or spoken of in other videos or reviews. I kind of disliked the Metroid Priview Channel since it showed off the bosses that would be in the game, sure everyone had already seen Ridley, but all the others should be a secret until you actually can play to them.

Well was checking up something on the Photo Channel on Wikipedia, and I stumbled upon this channel having a release date for the US: Dec 14th. Interesting, but was trying to find the source of this news bit and nothing. I'll take this with a grain of salt, but that would be very nice to have it this week.

Sorry old chap. I Am not fooling with you ppl with nonsense. It's True with the media event. I Emailed my Nintendo Rep. THey Said there's a midia summit event later this week.

btw, who's telling you this news for may12Th? Same here from Nintendo Rep. Off The Support Phones Thou. But Hopefully later on after midnight we'll start getting bits of news from the summit. (Leaked) Not from the summit as of yet tho. The summit starts in the morning. So good luck with all the news for eurpe as well. Take this information for the usa only at this point in time. Do you know that's maybe the date. But it's for the USA at this point thou. But i will keep you all Up to date with the Europe date as well. Seach the Internet for all the sites posting this channel with videos images Inpressions plus much more.

Probably not worth getting unless you want to share your review with games, if I am correct if that feature exists.

Yours takes over 200 blocks? I think mine took around 110.

Anyway, I am content to keep it on, just because it'll let me watch stuff on my TV (I don't have cable, so I don't usually get to). I don't mind it, though I know I certainly won't use it every day.

it's 110 blocks, plus 126 block of free space is needed.

It's not really something you would go on everyday, it's just an advertising channel. I still like it it's pretty neat. I like how when you look at a game you can download it right there, or you can purchase a game from there. The videoes are pretty neat too, and of course, hurray for DS demos.

I'm not too keen on the non-gameplay videos, personally--I read faster than people speak, so I tend to lean toward written articles with images. I did like the video that was, essentially, an intentionally (I hope!) bad commercial for Ninja Gaiden DS. I laughed pretty hard.

The DS demo downloads are a great pull for me. I wound up trying three of them: the Crosswords DS demo (confirms for me that I want the game), Cooking Mama 2 (convinced me that I don't want the game...but might actually be something my mom might like), and Ninja Gaiden (I was surprised to enjoy it at all, but it wasn't fun enough that I'd buy it any time soon).

Wikipedia claims that patches for DS games will also be available from the Nintendo Channel. But that claim is unsourced.

I won't mind the demo feature, since most of my DS purchases are going-out-on-a-limb-leap-of-faith type decisions. I'll be nice to play a bit of the Brain game and the Crosswords one.

That's the first game I tried, but I can honestly say that I'm happy I never purchased a game from this series. I thought it was boring and I can not see what people see in this game......and I thought I was going to love this series.

I wish Nintendo could have had the DS downloads on a seperate channel. Memory wise Nintendo channel wants 120 for the channel itself and an additional 120 (not exact but near enough) for save data? Why does it need save data? I turned off data sharing and that and it still insisted on the save file.

In all seriousness (or as close as I get), I was a bit thrown off upon reading the official name and seeing the "Everybody's" dropped--since I've been reading the translation of the Japanese name. I'm not sure I mind one way or the other, though for native English speakers (native speakers who aren't always reading translations of Japanese phrases), "Everybody's Nintendo Channel" may come off a little awkward or weird.

That's how they get you to go back to it. It's a Awesome channel to have. I look at it everyday. It's my big boy. I waited for it to go live May 12Th. And lala it's gone live May 7Th. I LOVE IT!

I tried the pirates of the Caribbean one. it was pretty good, nice music, good use of items, and the fighting actually took some skill. More skill than I had because I tried it ten times but kept dieing in the same spot. I also tried worms 2, it was lots of fun and i loved the music. I also remember playing a dectective game a few weeks ago made by capcom, I thought it was very fun.

There's new demos each week, sometimes there's 8 new ones, sometimes there's only one. But usually there at least 3 new ones. But they tend to repeat some weeks when there's no new ones.

The point was I had no motivation to play. Music makes a game much more Epic. Imagine Super Mario Galaxy without music. I will admit, the 30 seconds I played it for were alright, just not my style. And who said I was playing for the music, I wasn't expecting much but I was expecting something.

In the Release List in the Nintendo Channel in Germany, it says, that it released 3 Days ago only with english language!

But that is wrong, it isn´t released in germany or in europe.
