so anyone tryed this out yet? I know by todays standards that many people prefer a Epic RPG rather then a Dungeoncrawler RPG

but i got to say, i'm having lots of fun with this and have been unable to put it down for 2 days now, hehehe it got me hocked

really fun game, but anyone else tryed it?

yeah i know, but if you have the right characters in you party it really makes a big difference
for example, a good Protector will cut the enemy damage by two thirds
also leveling up your Medic to do party heals is very very good

i often use the heals on all of my turn even if every one has already full hp
also i avoid giving my Medic high Agi so that the heals will come at the end of everyones turns(monsters too) that way they are at full healt the next turn

I've had enough of dungeon crawlers. There are a couple of sweet Japanese RPGs coming out in the States and hopefully in Europe, localised by Atlus, whose names escape me at the moment. However, as much as Children of Mana plays to my mild OCD, doing the same thing over and over again simply isn't fun, and that game left a real bad taste in my mouth. I suppose I just don't expect Square to *******s up things like that, and if they can do it, it doesn't bode well for other developers. Still, I want Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 and Dragon Quest IX as much as the next guy

EDIT: Turns out the ones I was referring to were Luminous Arc and... Etrian Odyssey. I didn't realise it was a dungeon crawler, thought it was a turn-based RPG like old-school Final Fantasy. Disappointed.

Fan va snyggt!

Dude, that looks excellent... I might have to order me some of that immediately. And the gametrailers description - "whether you enjoy it or not depends on the hardness of your core and the oldness of your school". Practically an invitation to prove your testicular diameter.

Thanks for the hint. I actually live in England now, so ordering import games is much less of a hassle than I remember from back home.

I combined my order for Etrian Odyssey with one for Alien Hominid for the Gamecube, so hopefully both should be here within the next week or so. Here's to happy gaming!

Tackar för hjälpen, i alla fall.

Etrian Odyssey is a fantastic RPG. RPGs likes these are so rare these days that it's really nice to have something that goes back to the old school ways of role playing.

Totally hooked on this.

I've been playing this game for the last few weeks.... it is one of the hardest games I've ever played. The first time I played my party nearly got wiped out butterflies(!) I've been stuck on the 3rd floor all week, but I still think the game is really good!

That Luminous Arc game mentioned earlier looks really good too, I plan to preorder it soon. If its published by Atlus it'll probably go out of print really quickly....
