I loved this one, it was a lot more atmospheric and fun than the original in my opinion.

The Mega CD version was probably the best, but the Ecco series was great, and really original too. We need more game design like that nowadays, I think, rather than endless WWII shooters and sports games.

No i love them 2, the first is bad compared to this one tho

it was hard a **** but yes i never did complete it, i has it on the MD, and was going to get it on the vc but theres no point no point now cause the second better version is out:D

I may get this, as a child i loved Ecco the dolphin 1, but when i downloaded it on the vc, i found it boring, and felt like it had lost its charm, never played this one.

The second is better yes i wud advise only if you have points to blow tho :D

Just got ecco 2 and yes it is fantastic, i am quite far, but it is very hard, it just drops you in a level and doesn't tell you what to do, but i guess thats the whole charm of it, it also has a stupid story that is utterly confusing and doesn't make sense to me (anyone wants to explain it be my guest!) but its still amazing, after i complete this i will get ecco 1 as when i played it as a child can't remember what one i had =[ or maybe i just had both ;)

The story isn't stupid.. but it does have an environmental theme to it.
You should play the prequel first and things will surely clear up a bit ^^.

I've just been playing this and it is damn hard, the stuff you have to do is just not obvious!!

I am on the 'Moray eel' level and it is damn hard too =[

I've used a guide 3 times just to get past a few bits which i had been trying for ages and just couldn't do =[

Apart from that i am slowly making my way through it!

How far are you exactly?
I've been neglecting my VC copy a bit because I got a little fed up after Ecco 1. I'll play through it very soon though!
And yeah, a guide is good to have sometimes. I mainly used one on the first Ecco so I could keep track of how far in the game I was, and how much I had left.
