I like Sonic Adventure 2 / Battle the best.
It's got a good difficulty, it's graphics aren't so bad, the story is alright.
I havent played some of these 3D Sonic games though, so in the future I might change my mind.
I have not posted Sonic Riders on the Poll because it's not a real Sonic game, it's a fun party game.

Drew between SA2B and Secret Rings. SA2B had the story and Rings had the best gameplay in my view.
Unleashed on the poll? Now who's played that? o.o

I think the US has Sonic Unleashed but I'm not to sure, so I posted Sonic Unleashed on the Poll anyway.

Nah, I don't think we'll have that for a while.
Anyway, I put SA2B.

A fighting game that first came out for the PSX. It's one that has a lot of gameplay to learn. I was real impressed with the depth that the fighting system has. There's one for the wii, and if you like my sig (the character is I-No, the main villain in the sequel) then I suggest you pick it up. That is, only if you have a classic controller. Gameplay isn't so hot with a gamecube controller. If you don't theres a PS2 port as well.

Sonic adventure 2. The original dreamcast one.
Unleashed has only just been announced. Wont be out for a long time yet (Possibly winter).

Why not the DX version?
Well i played through Sonic Adventure 2 on dreamcast alot. I then got SA2B Last christmas (A little late I know but ive never had a gamecube. My wii is my gamecube). I played through battle and recieved more glitches than on any play through of the dreamcast version. I didnt like playing with the gamecube controller tbh and the camera seemed more iffy. The main thing I liked about it was the added features to the chao but over than that it felt like a step down to one of my favourite games for me.

Sonic adventure because its the final sonic game before everything (story wise) screws up.
In sonic adventure 2 it goes downhill very badly... Eggman helping sonic, Another hedgehog (Oh lets forget sonic) and the army trying to kill some child? Not very sonic-style to me.

The Dreamcast Sonic Adventure 2, because the GC one was broken.
Are there still people who haven't heard of Guilty Gear? Remarkable. I used to frequent the gamecombos.com forums back in the day when GGX came out. Wonder what happened to that site.
Undead, have you tried Big Bang Beat yet? Out of all the GG clones, it's the one that I've been most impressed with.
Into your fighters then?

Nah, I've never heard of it but I'll do some searching.
I've always enjoyed fighting games as a whole. KOF, Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs. Capcom, GG, Clay Fighter, and Killer Instinct never get tiresome.

Sonic Adventure. Like the other guy says, its the last one before the old game's stories are almost entirely retconned. It also is the only one out of those that is playable for long periods. Well, maybe SA2, but I have yet to play that. I played the demo of the 360 sonic and couldn't get anywhere. Ridiculous speed and turning speed, no camera, and your up high on small platforms. Not to mention almost no collision detection. What more needs to be said?
EDIT: I also have yet to play Secret Rings.

Ahem, Street Fighter series. You don't appreciate old relics until you've played the original Street Fighter, You don't really play fighting games until you've played Street Fighter 2, you're not really a fan of the genre unless you've played Street Fighter Alpha, and you're not a hardcore game (fighting games only) until you've played Street Fighter 3. 'Nuff said.

Well, I didn't mention it because I don't like the Street Fighter series. They're all **** to me. I've tried 'em all and I will try the new one, but they've all failed to impress me.

Street Fighter is a cliche because the original greats (SFII, SFIIT, and SSFII) dominated the fighting game genre of their generation. They're great 2D fighting games from an era before things got overly complicated.

Why did you put in Sonic Unleashed? It's not even released yet so how would we now that it's better than the others and besides it's 2D but also 3D like Sonic rush and/or adventure

It's 3D Always. Just because it's side on doesn't make it 2D, many of the sections are from a 3D Camera view anyway and the werehog bits are all 3D.

Admittedly, my only Darkstalkers experience is with Marvel vs. Capcom. I've never gotten my hands on any of the games.

Amen. Street Fighter is better than all other fighting games, and the Alpha and 3 series proved it could evolve past other.... what other fighters? Besides, all OTHER fighting games are cliche. Street Fighter invented the genre, thus it is original.

actually there were fighters way before Street Fighter, but they all kinda sucked...
I'd say Street Fighter II is the first fighting game worth playing.
And you guys do realize I was joking about Street Fighter being a cliche?
Although I still think Darkstalkers and samurai showdown are better, but there is no denying that SF is a great game.

If I may speak up, I'd like to deny it. I'll be the first to say that all fighting games are pretty much the same with 1 or 2 tweaks thrown in to differentiate the flow. Yeah, no two fighters really feel the same. They got their own thing goin', but there hasn't been huge innovation in fighting games...ever (brawl maybe. Power stone, sure). When you get down to it, all fighting games are doing is competing for coolest character roster.

Eh, Brawl is cool AND innovative. About your fighting game idea, the same can be said for many of the dead genres (shump, anyone), which MAY be why they're dead. And Power Stone WAS so less innovative than Brawl. Hey, wait a second. You're right about Brawl not being innovative. It was the original Super Smash Bros. for the N64 that WAS innovative. :D

true, most Figthing games all work off the basic formula laid down by Street Fighter II, but they all for the most part have enough differences to make them distinct in more ways than the characters. Thats what makes the difference between some of the horrible fighting games (like half the Mortal Kombat series) and the so called "masterpieces" like Last Blade, Samurai Showdown II, and Street Fighter Alpha.
And don't even get me started on 3D fighting games.

I call all of the Mortal Kombats failures, and some 3D fighters are good, like Power Stone (or do you mean 2.5D, in which case, I chose you, Super Smash Bros. Brawl).

I enjoy some Mortal Kombat games, but they really are all pretty average (or worse). Still they are fun in a campy over the top way.
And I think your forgeting about Soul Calibur. The greatest 3D fighter ever.

What am I contradicting? I think Soul Calibur is the best of the 3D fighting games. Doesn't mean that 3D fighting games didn't innovate and expand on the SF formula in a significant way.

Well, Soul Calibur has weapon based combat, no super moves, some secondary abilities different to that of Street Fighter's, and generally has no projectiles. And when you said don't get me sarted on fighting games, doesn't that mean you think they suck?

No I was replying to The Undead Feature's comment that all Fighting games basically boil down to the same game formula competing over a cooler character roster. I was stating a few important factors that make each 2d fighting game unique, and when I said don't even get me started on 3d fighting games, I meant don't even get me started on how different the mechanics are from the 2d fighting games.
Probably could have worded it better though.
And for the record I loves me a good fighting game.

My bad, and who doesn't love a good fighting game, or Super Smash Bros., a genre of its own. :D
