You know, you game cartridges? How do you store them while insuring they don't catch the dust bug? Disc games are usually fine since they have their own cases, but with carts, those cardboard boxes won't last forever.
All my N64 and SNES games are in a plastic box. It has a lid, so hardly any dust can attack them. ^^ My GB games meanwhile have cases like the old GB games did to protect them. :)

I keep them in their original boxes, if I have them, which I now keep on shelves with all my other games. Games that come in cardboard boxes are annoying but they offer some level of protection at least and I can have them on display. Sega's carts come in nice durable plastic cases so there's no problem there. I store the loose carts I have in a drawer. Until a month ago I stored my whole game collection in large boxes but now, at last, I've invested in some shelves and drawers for it all. :)

I have a large dresser (is that what it is called? A chest of drawers up halfway and then a shelving unit the rest of the way to the top), and another chest of drawers in my room. I moved all my clothes to the chest of drawers and use the drawers in the dresser for classic game stuff. One drawer is all NES carts, another is SNES and N64, another is extra controllers and periphials, and yet another is old handheld consoles, memory cards, cables, demo discs and such. Since I rarely open the drawers, not much dust gets in there, and everything stays nice, away from moisture, away from sunlight fading issues. (I have dark green curtains and blinds in my room to keep out sunlight from fading anything else in my room).
So, yeah, that's how I store them. I like to keep the boxes the games came in mint if possible, so all of those are kept in storage boxes in the closet.

I keep all my Game Boy/GBC cartridges in a plastic box sealed away in my chest of drawers (and as the first poster stated, it stops dust getting into them). Some of my GBA games live in a small string bag in the same drawer, and some others live inside my DS carry case (usually the ones that I love replaying the most). The Genesis cartridges are also in a plastic box, but it's kept in the loft since no one knows where the actual console got to :(

Game Boy (Color) games I have in a big cardboard box with the rest of the GB(C) systems, cables, accesoirs and my Neo Geo Pocket Colour.
My DS and GBA games are stored in a wooden chest in little cardboard 'drawers' with the actual systems, accesoirs, cables ect.
NES-Games are in one big cardboard box with the Zapper, 4 Controllers and a fourscore.
And the SNES-Games in a drawer in the furniture for Controllers (as there are only a few).
Disc-Based games are all in their original casing they came with.
The original Cardboard Boxes are neatly folded, if possible, and stored sepperatly in a big box.

I'm building a shelf to sit on top of my desk, with two 8" high shelves for disc games (PS1, PS2, GCN, Wii) and two 6" high shelves for carts (NES, SNES, Genesis). The SNES games all have plastic dust covers and just stand upright. The NES games are in plastic sleeves and lie on their side with the labels facing out.

I keep all mine in a drawer. It's pretty dust proof.
Also, all my NES carts I keep in the black cases:
