Is there a trick to deleting channels that were already on the system (Forecast, News, Photo)? They don't appear under the channels option of the Wii menu. I never use any of these channels because I have a wonderful contraption called a computer, so I'd like to open up some more space. Can anyone help, or is it a lost cause?

That's a lost cause, as those channels are in the system software of the Wii.

You know, if I had thought before asking, I suppose I could have figured out that Nintendo wouldn't let you delete a channel that you'd be unable to redownload... but then again I was hoping for some sort of super-secret hacking trick maybe? Oh well... Thank you.

It would of been a great idea if they made it downloadable as I never use them but they don't take up space on the flash memory so I guess I shouldn't complain.

No, they weren't.
They were System Updates, which - you guessed it - are downloaded to your Wii.

They were definitely part of a system update and not available as separate downloads. The only changeable update to one of those channels was for the Photo channel, which I installed and then promptly uninstalled when I realised it didn't do anything significantly different.

I only keep the new photo channel because I like having my own photo channel screen saver. But listening to music has somewhat gotten harder with the new update.
