Just wondering what most of you guys use for your connection to your TV, do you use component or composite?

I do have component cables, however I've had trouble displaying some N64 and Neo Geo games thru component, and I find it easier just to use composite, isn't component supposed to provide a better picture? I'm new to this stuff because most of the TV's I've had didn't have component hook up.

So what do you guys use composite or component?

With component, if your TV supports it, you can enable progressive scan which will give a much clearer picture. If you haven't got a progressive scan TV there's still some advantage but not so much. If you live in a PAL region (or maybe just Europe) you have the 3rd option of using RGB SCART, which is better than composite but doesn't support progressive scan.

Compoment + Progressive scan for me. PAL. No problems with any VC games. Have a Panasonic Viera TX-26LMD70A Very good picture. It's quite cool because if you're bored and connect the green cable to the yellow socket of composite, it makes a weird, black and white version appear.
