Blades of Steel vs. Ice Hockey

We've had our arguments, now it's time for a full out debate.

I prefer Ice Hockey because being goalie isn't ridiculously easy and you can customize your team. USSR is awesome, too.

Blades, by a mile.

Better graphics, sound and music.

Better shot control.

Better defencemen (As they actually come to your Tendors aid, rather than standing in a corner while you're getting pounded by shot after shot after shot for 2 minutes).

Shorter games.

Real fights (And they're good too. Better than Urban Champion).

Shootouts, because no game of Hockey should ever be allowed to tie (I hate ties). Although I can't say if it's good because I've yet to play it.

The arrow is like pro control on the new Hockey games. Something to help you out, but it doesn't make it so that it's impossible to concede. So it's a good feature that just stops games from being 34-37. Scoring goals is fun, but scoring 20+ just gets boring. You're hvaing constant stopages and it makes the goals you've scored previously seem unimpressive.

Shots can rebound of players and off Tendors' equipment, making it more lifelike. And also making the arrow feature not as helpful, as it doesn't change to tell you where it's now going (Which puts pressure on you and means you have to have fast relexes).

No stupid Zamboni animation that can't be squipped in the middle of a game.

5 on 5 with Tendors, the way Hockey should be.

8 teams over IH's 6.

And a better name. Because Hockey, is HOCKEY! I hate it being called Ice Hockey. Canadians invented it and they called it Hockey. Just like Football is Football, and not SOCCER! (But this is purely personaly :lol:).

And yeah, that's pretty much it for me :D

Custom teams are meh to me. I never edit my Avs lineup on my many Hockey games over the years. I play as the way they should be. I custom tactics in the new one, but never the teams.

So IMPHO, I say Blades. I do find IH fun, but Blades just blows it away.

Just thought of a plus for each. Blades you can change the difficulty. IH the games speed.

blades of steel for sure, better gameplay, better graphics and the lineup feature in IH isn't worth it, do it good, or don't do it

That's because I've yet to have it. I keep skipping them to get back to the game :lol:

But I did forget league's. You can have leagues.

Why the hell did the Archive give both of these 4's???

IH 2-3 at best. BOS 4-5.
