Best/Worst VC game you have downloaded so far?

Best for me so far is Super Mario World, it still feels like it hasn't aged a day in terms of gameplay.

Worst so far is probably Mario Kart 64... just feels like it hadn't lived up to how I remembered it. Plus the lack of lap time save facility is annoying!

worst Download in my oppinion is none because i make sure i download what i want!

but the worst game rated on the archives I own is a tie between zelda 2 and toe jam and earl...

both games are very different but 'I think zelda 2 wasnt how i renemberd it.. sadly.. cos im collecting them all... it has to be my least fav zelda but I still appreciate it none the less..

i think toe jam and earl which was given 3 stars is a good score because you either love that game or you hate it.. i think its better played when your goofing around and a little bored with a mate! You'll see what i mean!!
so 4 stars with a friend 2 stars if your on your own - 3 stars if you have an open mind! lol!

Yeah I agree with Pac-Man, I never really play it or Donkey Kong Country. I do like DKC but I have more better games. So my best is probably Story of Thor and worst is Pac-Man.

While the best GAME I own on the VC is Link to the Past, I had already beaten the game tons of times before, thus it was not as good of an experience as before. I'd have to say it's a three-way tie between Bomberman 93, Ice Hockey and Lylat Wars.

Bomberman 93 is THE game to play at parties. I bring my Wii over, and everyone who has never played Bomberman is skeptical. WHY PLAY OLD CRAPPY GAMES ON AN UNKNOWN SYSTEM OVER THE NEWR HALOH!!!!!1!1!!! but after me and a few of my friends begin to play it for a few rounds, they decide to try it out. Soon blood is being shed fighting over the controllers.

Ice Hockey is the simplest sports game I've ever played yet it's probably my FAVORITE (well, tied with Tecmo Super Bowl and Mario Strikers.) It's 2-Player mode is excellent. If you can convince another person to play the game with you you're both guaranteed to have a blast.

I never owned Lylat Wars and it turns out to be an excellent game. I missed both Lylat Wars and Super Mario 64 because I got my N64 really late... at least I didn't miss OoT!

Damn straight. Bomberman is one of the finest party games ever. It was an immediate purchase when I saw it on VC.

Well OOT's my fav game ever, but I barely play the VC version, it's as bad as the other versions. I like the C buttons you see. But rather than post games i've had before...

To be honest, I marginally prefer Mega Bomberman for the Mega Drive (released as Bomberman '94 on TG16), but '93 is still brilliant, and since it's so easy to play it multiplayer in these multitap-free days, I have to recommend it.

Worst game I've downloaded so far has to be Golden Axe. My gosh it hasn't aged well, and it's positively awful in comparison to SoR2.

Me too for the same reasons, especially since ive got the DS version it makes this one feel so poo unless its multplayer.

Best probably supermario 64 so far coz i never actually owned it.

I'm serious and I would give Wario's Woods at least 4 stars, saving 5 stars for the SNES version.
If you like puzzle games, check this out for yourself.
It's unlike any other puzzle game, but it's just as simple and fun.

This is an innovative but very underrated puzzler in my eyes.

I have this game and spent countless hours on this.
Gets pretty difficult in Level 95 though.

Multiplayer, in game save, endbosses, and Toad has great controls and many moves...

I don't know how to recommend this game, because it's so unique.
You like it or not.

I'm a puzzle freak, and my favourite puzzle games are
Tetris, Dr. Mario, Puzzle League, Picross, Tetrisphere, Wetrix,
Wario's Woods, Meteos, Pokémon Link, Puzzle Bobble and Puyo Puyo.

So maybe that would help you.


(And yes, Solomon's Key and Adventures of Lolo are great titles but they don't fit into the classic "block/tile" puzzle genre)

Worst? Quite honestly, I can't say. I only download my favorite games, I don't gamble on ones I've never seen/tried. Yet.

So far I've downloaded games that I've played in the past and loved, but never owned (ex: Paper Mario, Super Metroid) or I loved so much for the original system that I just had to get it again (ex: Punch-Out!!, F-Zero X)
