Does the emulator support BASIC commands, for game cheating?

I think it's difficult.

There were lots of games at the time which had some way to prevent users to load the game in memory and access the command line (I think in early games pressing RUN STOP was enough).
In fact during the 90s there were cartridges that had a button which did nothing else than sending a POKE 64738 (is the code right? I'm going by memory) to the system, so that it was resetted but the game was still in memory, and in this way one could insert POKEs and PEEKs and then run the game again.

Can you make sense of my words? I could have explained my thoughts really better in Italian.....

You can't do it with the emulator as it stands, no, but I'm sure someone out there is working on some way of doing it.
