2 stars? O_O

I have always respected Virtual Console Reviews, except this time. This game deserves a better score; it's a one player game (two player modes is kind of incomplete) but it's fun as hell. I really love it, and maybe I was the first one to download it.

I think it deserves the 2 stars... But also Fatal Fury 1 deserves no more than 3, by these standards.

SNK hater? Or non-old school gamer?

Fatal Fury is one of the best game series I have ever seen. Because of it's uniqueness. That gives it quite a bit of awesome, and they kept it till 98, with changes and upgrades: 3 line battles, ringouts, other things you don't see much in other fighting games (*coughsfcough*). Fatal Fury was highly experimented on, whereas SFII was remade countless times. Probably the only shiny new thing (till 1995 anyways) was the introduction of a power gauge and a few new characters.

As for AOF, this game was quite good. It had some nice graphics for a 92 game and, as Beholder put it, fun as hell. Honestly I have played FF more but...

Sue me, I discovered how awesome SNK is.

You are not alone, my friend.

I played this game for hours on end with a friend of mine, so the fact that you could only be Robert or Ryo in single player never bothered me much, and the characters and liens were so cheesy that we still use them 10 years out LOL. That alone gets it at least 4/5 in my books.
