Heya,

I have a few GC games I'd like to still play, unfortunately where I have my Wii makes it a little difficult to plug in a GC controller and play comfortably. I'm looking at picking up a wavebird or similar wireless controller for my Wii. Anyone have any problems using a GC wireless controller on the Wii? Anyone in particular you recommend?

Thanks.

The wavebird works great on the Wii for playing Gamecube games. For the love of God don't get a third party controller. You should be able to get a Wavebird cheap enough now.

Whilst most Virtual Console games benefit from using the excellent classic controller, I still keep a wavebird around for Starfox 64 and F-Zero X. It's the best way to play for mostly any N64 game I think. 8)

Yeah, I'm looking at ebay for Wavebirds and see a nice selection at decent prices. I'm leery of 3rd party controllers due to quality controls so no probs there I think.

I just picked up Thousand Year Door for my GC/Wii and want to give it a whirl soon.

Just remember there's no rumble on the Wavebird. That was always a dealbreaker for me.

Using a Wavebird for my GC games aswell and it's really nice to have a wireless controller to play with. The cord to the normal controller is just too short and I've never heard of someone buying a extension cord either ;)

Gamestation is doing 2 Preowned Wavebird controllers for £20 at the moment, so thats worth checking.

Shame theres a lack of colors though. :(

wavebird has no rumble, but apart from that it's the best choice too play gamecube games wireless on wii.

i use it for playing gamecube, since i don't really feel any rumble anymore. had too much. :D

but that's not saying, rumble isn't important. in lylat wars and ocarina of time it IS!! i wouldn't play those without rumble support!

I need a Wavebird for mine, my Wii keeps falling off my shelf and dangling by it's wires because I keep pulling the GC controller too far back.
The other day it pulled off the wires on the back too, then landed on top of my SNES after falling a couple of foot. :(
Half way through a Smash Bros Tourny too ¬_¬
