I've always wanted to play in Little League. Alas, I never had the chance.
Baseball (not Wii Baseball either) is still LOADS of fun to play with friends.

Not really, to slow for me. But I pay £15 a month for NASN so i'm probably gonna watch some, i'm paying for the damn thing afterall, lol.
Only bought it for the Hockey. Don't really like any other sport. Kinda like the NBA but they didn't show a single game this season and when I signed up to it, they said they were showing 70. WTH?!

I like baseball! I got some baseball games for the SNES, and enjoy Wii Sports Baseball. I hope The BIGS comes out in Europe at some point.
As far as teams are concerned, I prefer the Boston Red Sox. :)

This is probably the only field sport I enjoy, but I'd much rather do other things. It was alright in P.E I suppose..
I'd never watch someone else playing it either, that would feel pointless.

Big baseball fan...more of a catch up on the scorelines type fan at the moment.
NASN costs too much for what it is. Had it for a while but resented paying that much for something I was only watching for 2-3 hours a week. I'd catch up on hockey, maybe some baseball, maybe some NBA if I had the time but found I wasn't watching enough to justify the expense.
Oh...and Sky poached the rights to NBA in UK. See the games on Sky Sports 3

£15 a month for 12 Hockey games a week, 15 MLB games a week, tons of AFL and NASCAR races a week etc...
I only watch the Hockey and I think it's a bloody steal.
I think of it this way, the cost of the DVD's that it would take to entertain me for over 100 hours a month, would be ALOT higher than £15.
But if you were only watching 2-3 hours, then maybe you just need to watch more ;)

there is nothing in life that I like more then baseball and I am so glad to see that we have some baseball fans here, well if you look at sig I am a huge, huge, huge AZ fan and have liked them ever since I was old enough to understand every aspect of the beautiful game of baseball.
Right now I have been very pleased with how my d-backs are playing, if you would have told me that we would be leading the division by 3 games with RJ on ythe DL for the rest of the year and most of our top prospects struggling then I would have called you crazy but amazingly we are in that very position!
The call up of Justin Upton has been great as he has been raking so far in the majors and was a single away from becoming the youngest player to hit for the cycle. Well our record stands at 66-51 which is more then I could ever ask for and we are only going to get better with such a bright future, Go Backs!!!!

Blah. Baseball, golf, and runner-up American football are the most boring sports there are. Playing the sports themselves is a completely different matter, but when it comes to watching them they're extreme doozies!

I'm a huge sports fan. I'll watch almost any sport. For all you baseball bashers saying it's boring to watch....well you don't understand the sport. You don't understand the art behind the pitches and the stradegy involved. I wish the Os would be leading the division....I'll be happy if they can get back to .500 though.
On a side note, I just started getting Satanta sports on my TV. I've always lover soccer (both playing and watching), but I've never seen a rugby match or even heard of Gaelic football.....I'm hooked.

I agree, sure a few people do understand the sport and dont care for it but a lot of people just watch 30 minutes and write it off as boring without understanding the strategy and deep aspects about the game.
As for the O's to me the franchise seems like a mess, with no real direction in sight for the team, I mean even the D-rays have some sort of a future with B.J. Upton, Delmon Young, David Price, James Shields, and Evan Longoria, all with very bright futures. But the O's just seem to be lacking any type of direction for the future.
With that said though the O's have been playing much better ball since the firing of there past manager and Erik Bedard has been a pleasent surprise for O's fans (leads MLB with 199 K's).
The fact of the matter is is that Angelos is the cancer of this organization. He must go for this team to really start winning in the very tough A.L. east. FREE THE BIRDOS!!!

I agree that the franchise is in disaray but there is a plan for the future in place. Eric Bedard, Jeremy Guthrie, Adam Loewen, Daniel Cabrera and Brian Burres are a very good young rotation that will only get better. The starters are in top part of the league as far as era but the relief pitching and lack of run support brings them down. On the other side they have rookie of the year runner up, last year in Nick Markakis to go along with Brian Roberts. Don't be suprised if you see Mark Teixeira return to Maryland. He was born and raised in Maryland and says he still roots the Os when he's not playing them. He'll be a free agent after next year...I think.

Yeah I heard Tex is interested in returning to maryland. You are right about the young rotation, I totally forgot Guthrie in my post but he is a bright spot in the dim future for the O's.

Wow, someone is posting under the baseball thread again!
Well, I'm still an O's fan. They are actually playing better then last year but they are in last place even though they have a better record then last year at this time. I guess the competition is stronger also.
Anyways, cool, a twins fan, welcome to the "not much visited" baseball thread.

Thanks. I am supprised that hardly anyone likes baseball on here. Considering you can use a Nintendo DS in the Seattle ballpark to receive stats and stuff. That ties it into baseball doesn't it? Anyhoo, go twins.

Yeah the DS thing is awesome.....too bad Seatle is the only team with this feature because Nintendo owns the team.

and too bad Seattle is the worst team in baseball right now. haha. They are building us a new stadium. That would be sweet if they put that feature in. But it will never happen

Even if they did put the DS feature in, you guys would still not have the Ichirolls to order on your DS ;)
