P.P Hammer was a lovely platform puzzler where you're a kid, armed with a drill, having to drill and make his way across levels (varying from medieval castles to Egyptian pyramids to Rome) collecting keys to the exit. I absolutely adored the haunting soundtrack in the Amiga version and the excellent devious level designs.

Since the Commodore 64 has appeared on the VC, it makes P.P Hammer every bit a possibility of appearing. I'd rather have the Amiga version, but in this case, I'd settle for the C64 version. :-)

Anyone else here remember this gem?

I played the demo version, which was given away on a magazine covertape, but never got very far into the full game. The demo was spoiled by a few bugs and glitches.

I too played the demo from issue 12 of Commodore Format (September 1991 if my memory serves me). If I remember the demo lacked sound altogether and the game was released at a time when the local shops were starting to kill off the C64, greatly reducing the number of full-price games they had at any time. Shame really as you're not the only person to rave about that game.
