Are there any card games (ie solitaire, patience) for wii / gc / vc?

Well I know DS is not on your list, but 42 All Time Classics for DS is very good and has quite a lot of card games on it, including Solitaire. It's £20 and has great Wi Fi features. I would reccomend that.

Vegas Stakes is coming to VC sometime in the future, it's a gambling game with slots and poker and such.

There is Poker World Championship on Wii by Left Field (the guys who made Excitebike 64, NBA Courtside and the upcoming Wii racer Nitro Bike).

I also recommend 42 All Time Classics for Nintendo DS.

It might be worth looking for some online games you can play with the Wii browser.

Cool, still waiting for wii - with the we broswer - can you load any page from the net? do u recommend any card game websites?

The Wii Browser doesn't use the latest version of Flash, so some games may not work, but you should be able to play most. Just do a search for "free online flash card games" or something similar.
