Why did they remove TMNT 2: The Arcade game from the VC? Are they remaking it or something? Or, will we see another one ever?

Maybe the first one didn't sell well enough and they didn't want to go through the hassle of negotiating with Ubisoft over the license.

I own the cart so I don't need it but it would be a welcome addition the vc library. It's pretty hard though

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough. I meant as the ESRB rating. As in why that game was dropped from the rating?

The first one came during the time that movie was out, obviously to cash in. They probably just submitted the 2nd game to be rated incase the first was a big hit. Guess maybe that wasnt the case...

I too have the NES cartridge of this game still. I love Virtual Console for games that originated on the consoles presented, but for games that originated in the arcade, I prefer to get them on XBLA. They have this game on there in its original four player arcade version with online support. XBLA arcade is also getting an HD version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo. I am guessing they figured it would not sell well compared to the original version being available on a competitor's system with those features, and probably did not want to go through the three way profit split with Konami and Ubisoft again.
