Default Alex Kidd

I've only ever played the Megadrive Alex Kidd which is awful, what are the Master System ones like?

Ive heard they are better. The megadrive one does suck bad.

Also so you know Alex Kidd is set to return in Sega Superstars Tennis.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World is rather quite good, which is just as well considering it was built in to the Master System II (and likely the new owner’s first impression). There are some tricky sections that might frustrate, like jumping onto single blocks of platforms above a sea of spikes, but no more than other games can.

Alex Kidd in Shinobi World is considered the best in the series and IMHO it is a great little platformer, think Alex Kidd characters with Shinobi-ish style gameplay. I can’t say for the others as I don’t have them and have never played them.

Much better, Alex Kidd in Miracle World is one of the best pre-Sonic platformers there are, it's an essential download if you haven't already got it. Alex Kidd in Shinobi World is also very good. The others are average, and I agree that the Mega Drive version isn't great.

Alex Kidd in Miracle World is a classic game but be warned, it is difficult.

I think I played that one. I believe I only git past the first level and couldn't get further

I had Miracle World built in to my SMS2, and I borrowed Shinobi World off a friend, and both were rather fun. I could never get past the level with the thundercloud dropping lightning bolts though. I hated the Megadrive version, it just seemed far far too japanese

Miracle World is an excellent game with lots of variety, only marred by slightly floaty control but nothing you cant get used to. It's very challenging too.

Shinobi World is another good one, sort of a cutesy remake of the original Shinobi game but with new level design and new moves.

The other games are utter tosh.
