Default Alex Kidd the most popular download

According to the NZ Wii Shop's "Popular Titles" area, kicking SMB3 out of first place

Does this news fill anyone else with joy as it does to me?

As an Alex Kidd fan it of course makes me happy. New Zealand has good taste in Retro gaming.

I downloaded the game while I was there

I probably wont beat it, but buying the first game I ever owned or played again was a "must do" that wasnt debatable

Glad Alex Kidd is doing well. I downloaded it myself to see what the fuss was about. Glad to download it.

Nice to see an old classic getting some respect in the charts.

Here it's second in the popular games section just ahead of Super Mario Bros. I'm surprised it's that popular but it deserves to be.

Here in NZ, Sega crushed Nintendo into the ground much more than in the UK, so I guess it's natural really, although I'm not sure how the sales were in AU, since AU/NZ share the VC region.

The Wii is actually the first time Nintendo has ever done really well in console sales in NZ for that matter

Nice to hear its doing well in UK. Hows it doing in US, where the SMS was a failure?

It's a lot easier than it was when I was 5, but yeah, its hard like all games from that era

I still get uneasy at the volcano, forest and everything after it, they were all scary back then and it lingers still

I'm glad Alex Kidd's doing so well, I loved it. To me it was pretty easy, the only hard part is the part I'm stuck at, at the last level, with the underwater room with all the spikes. I can't believe Alex Kidd kicked SMB3 out of 1st place in NZ. Great job, Alex!
