Just to make things even more complicated

Intelligent System’s latest entry in the massively popular Advance Wars series has been given a new name for its forthcoming European release.

The eagerly awaited title, which will be released in the US as Advance Wars: Days of Ruin and in Japan as Famicom Wars DS 2 (which is in keeping with the Japanese name for the franchise), will now be called Advance Wars: Dark Conflict when it hits European shores in February.

So that’s three different names for the same game. Thanks for making our heads hurt, Nintendo! Still, given the excellent pedigree of the series and the promising screens we’ve seen so far, we don’t really mind what they call it.

Didn't Puzzle league have different names as well though? That still worked worldwide....I think.

I'm pretty sure all versions will be compatible. After all, it's just the title that's different (along with the translated text). "Dark Conflict" sounds quite generic. Although, Famicom Wars DS 2 sounds even worse. *shrugs*

I've just discovered that Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe localised the game independently, resulting in changes in the dialogue, names of characters, factions, units and special moves.
