Default Action Replay for Wii

Hi folks,

I have been browsing the Argos web site and I see they are selling an Action Replay for the Wii. At first I figured it would be the Gamecube version although looking at the box it looks like it just says Nintendo Wii on it.

Just wondering if anyone has actually got one at all?

Rob

Hey, as long as the cheat system dosent mess up any online games it ain't a bad idea.. Personally if it is a legal way to play imported games on my PAL system I'm all for it. I really, really don't want to get a Wiikey because I don't trust modders bricking my Wi and me having to fork out another £180 just so I get the hope of playing US/JP software

@ Makeda: It's not a freeloader! Action Replay = Cheat device

If you ever played online and someone messed up your game, you would understand.

Good examples: Animal Crossing, Pokémon, Metroid Prime Hunters

If it was only for offline gaming, that would make some things different. But it is not!

Plus, games these days are much easier than in the NES/SNES days. Are you a gamer or a lamer?
Plus, most of us want more online games.

At least Nintendo's friend codes are a very good solution to ban cheaters.

Action replay wii will not work online and it will be impossible to create online codes. Cant remember where I read it but I did, if you do some google searches im sure you will be able to find the artcicle.

Also I would say games are more harder these days, but thats just my oppinion

Action Replay already works online. So what you read was wrong.

And most games these days are much easier. It's a fact.

The action replay wii will not work online as I said. Here is an article i just found on google:

Im pretty sure the only action replay that has ever worked online is DS.

And what you say about games being easier these days is bull poop and you know it.

According to Datel staff, the new Action Replay for the Wii will not be usable online. Even if hackers make codes designed for online, it will not work. This will most likely come as a relief to Action Replay haters out there, and it will make online much more fair and fun. The release date for the Action Replay Wii is also delayed, and the new release date is February 1st, 2008.
Wow, nice Datel. Didn't know this.
My point is, Action Replay is not just cheating, it's hacking into the games code. There will always be ways to get around certain walls.
But if Datel really can block it's own device from being used in online games, that's an acomplishment.

I wouldn't be happy supporting a company that has released any device that allows people to cheat in online games whether the version I buy does or not.
