right.
beat the game with the normal camera. the new game you can choose now will get you the camera deluxe, which can take colored shots.
and yes, be careful with the bosses. before you beat a boss (and some of the minibosses) make (at best) 3 snapshots of it. don't save your game when you beat a boss. instead go to the statuemaker island and give him your pictures. if one of them is good enough to be accepted you can save your game. if not, reload and do the boss again.
