hmmm i was almost sure that it does support the gamecube controller but ill try and find out maybe ill pay for it on the VC. To be more sure. (Cant right now am at work)

Edit: well i know the gamecube controller works with the Zelda: Oot but i will try and confirm the rumble feature later on.
