Which games/comics of the Wonder Boy series is it based on?


Wonder Boy was one of the first and only game series to follow a different canon on each platform it was released on, and in some cases a completely different brand name. The film makes no attempt to coecile all the different incarnations and canon, but does take elements from Wonder Boy 3: The Dragon's Trap, Wonder Boy In Monster World, and the comic series Wonder Boy In Demon World.

After a long drawn out fight with Sega refusing to ressurrect the character, Uwe Boll walked. Ergo, the project became an unauthorised CGI project led by its screenwriter Robin Morningstar.

It's the most technologically accomplished fan-film of all time and made for no profit. Robin Morningstar recruited CGI masters from around the world and some of the live-action cast gamely made the jump. The offer remains open for Sega to sanction it as merchandise.
