Well, for Super Mario 64, I think that it's (was) a unique game, so it's fair that there are people not loving that kind of gameplay.
For me, I simply didn't download it. It's impossible not to know this game and know if you may like it or not.
For Mario Kart 64, I love MKDS but there are 3 tracks in the game that really suck. Those are from the N64 version (the Boo track is much more technical, in the SNES style).
I think the overall track design in an arcade racer is the most important part of the game, so....I think I knew for a long time that MK64 was probably a loser.
...that's just the kind of things I think about when looking at new VC releases: " Will I really like it?" and try to find what would not be so appealing to my personal taste.
