It's not coming any time soon, that's for sure. But I wouldn't write it off entirely. It's very possible that they'll wait for a couple years and then toss it on there when the DS port isn't making as much money anymore. It still doesn't seem likely to me, but it's possible. The more markets they get it into, the more profit potential, right? As long as they don't step on their own toes. Folks looking for it to come out soon are in for major disappointment or a big-time patience workout, though.

Good question. It's a pretty great game. I think most of the people who wrote bad things about it mainly didn't like it in comparison to
Chrono Trigger, which means they had false expectations of Bonesaw-like proportions for it.
