You missed a blueprint for Tiny Kong way back at the top of that huge mountain! Get up there! And you're lacking in the bananas for Chunky. Maybe you should back track."
Ugh. I hated DK64. I loved the other Rare N64 games like Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day. But DK64? I was not feeling that one.
Although, DK64 did give us Lanky Kong, one of the most badass Donkey Kong characters in a long time. |
Depends how you look at it, I found that the tough mingames and "tedious" sidequests that people quote them as, were the life of the game for me, it was one of the last few remotely challanging games Nintendo really came out with IMO, Gamecube and onward went downhill and all the games started supporting the intellect of a 5 year old. (referring to Galaxy, Wind Waker and Sunshine, some of the biggest dissapointments of all time to me as far as difficulty goes) not to mention since Rare left the whole Donkey Kong series went to hell. I'd buy it simply for the memories, gameplay, storyline and awesome soundtrack...
EDIT: If a game such as Pokemon Snap made it then this game sure better :P
