Just some of the nice touches that spring to mind for me right now are:
The ability to taunt with a weapon
The ability to choose to turn on your tag team partner if you wanted.
You could choose to take a weapon into the ring with you. ie, carry it down the entrance ramp with you for the start of the match.
But the main reason it was so good was the controls were so easy to get to grips with but if you took the time to experiment logically you could do some really cool things. |
While it may have given all that with one hand it also took away full entrances and the ability to create and defend a custom belt. It also had a game ruining glitch that erased the games internal memory and to top it off the "fixed" PAL version given as a replacement had the blood removed.
All these things taint the game for me and so I have fonder memories of its predecessors despite No Mercy's superior engine.
Also, the game isn't coming to Wiiware/VC or anything else so don't get too excited by made up stories like these.
